Danica, of Danica Designs, began dipping candles in 1980, after apprenticing with an uncle at his candle factory, in the lovely village of Karlebo Denmark. Danica eventually moved his business to Maine and set up Danica Designs. Their candlemakers combine old-world techniques with a blend of beeswax, other premium waxes and dyes  to create a rainbow of hues in today's palette. Unscented and solid color throughout, it is the successive layering of their artful dipping process that assures a quality hand-dipped taper candle.
